South Bend Friends Meeting supports a worship group that meets at 1721 Prairie St, Elkhart, 46516.
Meeting for Worship at 1721 Prairie St, Elkhart, 46516 on First and Third Sundays:
On the first and third Sundays of the month, we gather for unprogrammed meeting for worship at 5:00pm, followed by a light potluck at 6:00pm. We meet at 1721 Prairie Street, across the backyard from 118 West Wolf Avenue where we previously met.
Watershed Spirituality gatherings on Fourth Sundays:
On the fourth Sunday of every month, the Elkhart Worship Group gathers somewhere in the St. Joseph River Watershed for listening to creation, silent time for reflection in the outdoors, and other shared activities in order to both learn more about our watershed and deepen our spirituality in a natural setting.
This series builds on recurring themes of spoken ministry at the Elkhart Quaker Worship Group, and like the worship group itself, this event welcomes people of all faiths or no faith. To learn more, see contact information below.
Space to park is behind (west) of 1721 Prairie Street, or in front (south) of 118 West Wolf Avenue.
First Day School (Sunday School) and Spanish English-Interpretation:
During Meeting for Worship we are generally able to offer first day school (Sunday School) for any children that might come with parents. We also provide Spanish-English interpretation as needed.
All people are welcome -- of any faith or no faith. Keeping our time away from Sunday mornings continues to be important as many of our attenders also attend services with other religious communities.
We send out update emails about once a month. To receive updates or for more info, contact: email@example.com, Jason Shenk (574.238.8317), or Nick Simons (574.361.0009).
